Hello fellow travelers, I’ve noticed that many adventurers are complaining about the difficulty of the Haunted Forest Battle in Hard Mode 5, especially for those who missed Aiko. How do you defeat it without her? I’ll share the best lineup for casual players. The cost is only two gold, and with proper training, you can clear it.
First lineup: Genjii along with Kaliyavla and the protagonist. The strategy is straightforward. Three grass-type characters produce seeds, and Genjii activates the grass seeds. If there’s a Waterman, attack him. It’s important to note that the Waterman’s last 20-30 seconds of battle is for attracting fire, so don’t bother attacking; you won’t have enough time. Also, the white shield is a durability shield, and the damage absorbed is roughly the same.
If you don’t have the proper training, you can add a 5-star character, such as Elhazard or Tenaali, or use a Fire Servant as the main character. If you still can’t manage, it’s indeed a challenge.
Second lineup: Fischl with Bennett, Xingqiu, and Shale. The strategy is to ignite quickly in the first phase, then deal damage in the second phase with a lightning-type character, and then throw all skills in the third phase, focusing on burst damage. You can also use Rikuo, Vaike, Kroki, or Kigyl as the main character for the burn.
Third lineup: Shikashiko with Xianglang and Rekohu. If the training is insufficient, you can add Fennina. Follow the steps, apply the ice buff while freezing enemies, and feed the ice dragon to Shikashiko.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the monsters in Hard Mode 5 are specialized and essentially upgraded versions of the original bosses. Unlike the main world bosses, Watermen absorb small water to heal and become larger with a shield.
In summary, a 0+0 5-star character may not be as useful as a 6-star 4-star character. While many players can clear Hard Mode 4, Hard Mode 5 requires more training and skill. Especially for those with low budget and no experience, it can be quite challenging. In my friend list, only those with high-star 5-stars have a chance.
