They woke up in the afternoon on the Black Coast

The dusk of this city always comes faster than in memory. The laundry rod on the balcony still has a half-dried sheet hanging on it, and the wind has not dried it. The mobile phone screen lit up, and the update preview of “Mingchao” was like an old acquaintance who accidentally broke in, gently pushed open the door of life, and said, come and see, I have some new stories to tell you.

In fact, I am not a person who will chase the version. For me, the game is like the asphalt road that is repeatedly spread in the city, and the familiar rhythm hides the repetitive daily life. But this time, I still clicked it. Because of those two names – the shore guard and the glazed coral, the moment the cursor slid over, there was a strange smell coming to my face, like the smell of coffee and orange peel mixed in the humid afternoon wind.

They are new resonators, characters in the game, but not completely. Their appearance is not calculated like a machine, they are like women who walked out of a humid and quiet story, with delicate skin, unspeakable eyes, and a little bit of the taste of old dreams.

The shore guard is a healer. A character who is good at using a weapon with a literary name like “Music Sense Instrument” to communicate with the world. She will not enter the battlefield with a high-pitched attitude, but will heal the wounds of her teammates every time she is ignored. She can turn into a butterfly, which is a kind of escape and a gesture of refusing to face the rough world. She is not like the protagonist, but she is someone you can’t forget in your story.

She will not appear at the beginning of the main story, but will ask you softly at a node that you no longer expect: “Do you remember the direction you came from?” Just like the girl who sat opposite you many years ago, suddenly mentioned a song you had long forgotten in the restaurant.

Yuhu is different. She is the kind of person who you can see her toughness at a glance. Her weapon is an arm armor, which sounds a bit like a laborer in a city construction site, but she is not rough. She is a resonator of condensation attributes. Her name is like porcelain, smooth to the touch, but with cracks hidden. She can also heal, but in a different way-she completes healing in the blow and conveys warmth in anger.

Her extended skill can increase the damage of coordinated attacks. It’s like some kind of tacit understanding that she gave up the stage first to pave the way for the later ones. She is the one who gently handed you a glass of water before you were about to speak. That glass of water has no taste, but you always remember it.

They will be online on September 29 and October 24, just like two rains that come on time in autumn. The version is divided into two pools, upper and lower, and the time is like the intermission of the theater – some people take this opportunity to go out and smoke a cigarette, and some people take out a small notebook to review the lines. And we are waiting for the next scene of the plot, looking forward to a certain fateful intersection between the characters and us.

And this theater also prepared props for us: Treabar, a platform that provides recharges. It sounds ordinary, but it is like an old electric kettle left by the landlord when you rent a house – you don’t value it, but one late night, it boils hot water for you.

In this version, there is also the re-engraving of Ji Yan, the addition of Chi Xia and San Hua, and the replacement of the weapon card pool is also orderly – these are rules, order, and calm reminders like the broadcast on the platform. But the shore guards and Youhu are not rules, they are more like episodes, a trace of unknown mixed into your familiar trajectory, and an old stamp that you accidentally slip into the texture of your life.

Maybe you won’t spend the whole night grinding for them, maybe you will just occasionally go online in the afternoon cafe, draw a card, and then listen to them whisper in your ear: “All this is not a task, it’s life.”
